Dr. Husyairi is a clinical epidemiologist, having been in service with the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM Medical Center, the teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine, UKM. He has participated in various programs with the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS) in collaborative projects with UNESCO and other partners on social inclusion in national policies.
